Clifford Massey
Clifford was born on June 20, 1920 in Preston, England. He enlisted in the navy on December 8, 1941 when aged 21 with the service number NZD 3700.
Clifford served on HMS Pangbourne, HMNZS Achilles, HMNZS Gambia and the repair ship HMS Alaunia, ending the war as an able seaman. For his service he was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, Burma Star and the Defence Medal.
After the wa, Clifford became a plumber and a tutor in Technical Institute.
