Alison Sterritt Dormer (Peter)
Not much is known about Peter as he was known except his service number was 8682 and that he served on HMNZS Gambia during WWII.
He was a long-standing member of the Eagles Golfing Society of Auckland and North Harbour.
Peter passed away on May 22, 2012 aged 89, at Stanmore Bay, Whangaparoa, New Zealand.

Peter Dormer served on HMNZS Gambia and otehr ships under fire during operations of the British Pacific Fleet v Japan, Mar - Sept 1945. Fired 1 last shot v Japanese Homeland at Kamashi [Kamaishi] 9/8/45. Represented NZ at formal surrender of Jap Emperor in Tokyo Bay 2/9/1945.
